Generally, BitDefender has 3 version of PC protection software. They are antivirus, Internet Security and Total security. I have been asked for so many times that what is the different between internet security and total security. Let me show you the real difference between them.

In a nutshell, the difference between BitDefender total security and Internet security is PC tuning, File Shredding and Data Backups. Total Security has those 3 features while Internet security does not. When it comes to protection, both products are using the same engine and fraud detection technology.

There is a section in BitDefender Total Security that is called Tune-Up. It allows user to clean the registry, recover registry, shred files and defragment disks. Besides that another great feature from Total security is its Data backups function.

Personally I only use BitDefender Internet Security. There are many free wares out there which can help me to do the extra 3 features from total security. So I would not spend more money to get those features. But if you are looking for a total complete software to assist you, then BitDefender total security can be your choice.
